THREAD Etched Brass Cuff
THREAD Etched Brass Cuff
This design came to me while I was reading about the importance of thread and fabric in global folklore.
From the Fates of Ancient Greece spinning the thread of life, to Baltic Saule , the life-affirming sun goddess who spins the sunbeams.
From the Chinese Goddess Weaver who wove the stars and their light, known as "the Silver River" or The Milky Way to the dozens of Christian patron saints of various textile forms and work, thread, spinning and weaving have always been the domain of women and therefore also has strong connections to birth and death.
These simple, geometric lines have been etched in to the raw brass and polished to a high shine. Due to the nature of the chemical reaction there are often beautiful irregularities in the depth of the etch, sometimes there are glimpses of the blush of the copper content of the raw brass.
Each cuff is individually hand drawn so differs from those photographed
Cuff measures 14.5cm long
The price is for 1 cuff and it comes wrapped in coloured tissue paper
All my earrings are made with love and care - I am a reiki practitioner and I fill each individual piece with positive, healing energy. And if all that’s a bit too woo woo for you, they look great too

The cuff was an 18th birthday present for my god daughter, she loved it and I can't wait for my daughter to buy me one for my birthday! We also have other bracelets and earrings all of which we love. Thank you
